It is dangerous for me to enter vintage shops. It is good that we are planning on moving, because this makes me hold back on buying things. Today, is my day off with Stuart and we went and got some breakfast. We wanted to walk around and check out some vintage shops after to work off some of our meal. We stopped at Sabi and Friends Vintage Home and Garden. The lady working there chatted us up and this always makes me feel like I need to purchase something. Well, as I was wandering around, I stumbled upon something really awesome. They were labeled as hand stitched quilt squares. I have been wanting to make a quilt and I love the design of the woman dressed up gardening. I was going to buy them and then looked at the price. $11. Yep, most definitely buying them!

I tried to research online, but couldn’t find this image anywhere. It is an American Thread Co design that is mostly all hand embroidered! The scarf means for a table. It probably would have been a runner for a dresser with a few pillow case designs.

The amount of time that has already gone into making this is incredible! There are only a few left that need the grapes and the apron embroidered.

This looks like a regular sized pillow cover.

There are two smaller designs that look like accent pillow size.

These look like the runners.

There are also two more that are basic sizes. I played around with placing them on each other to see if it would be fun to change the placement of them.

I am not entirely sure what I will do with them, but they were a great find. For now, I am painting, but this will be a project that I can sit and finish embroidering while I am watching a movie. I think that I will keep them as is and find some fabric to do an interesting design around them. The colors are not my usual favorite, but maybe that will be our next living room colors. These would make a great throw blanket. Have you found something at a thrift store that has inspired you to make something of it?
